Sunil Grover is an Indian actor and stand-up comedian born on August 3, 1977. He has a Master's degree in theater from Panjab University, Chandigarh. The first Hindi film in which he appeared was the 1998 movie 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha'. He is credited for acting in India's first silent comedy show, ‘Gutur Gu’ (2010-14) on SAB TV, in the initial episodes. He rose to prominence by portraying Gutthi on the comedy and celebrity talk show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. Grover also gained popularity for portraying Dr. Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Devi on 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. He debuted in the Punjab film industry in 2016 with ‘Vaisakhi List'. He also played the role of Bhindi Bhai August on Star Bharat’s 2020 show ‘Gangs of Filmistan’. He is also known for playing Gurpal Chauhan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s 2021 political drama web series ‘Tandav’. Some of his notable Bollywood films include ‘Gabbar is Back’, 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, and 'Bharat’, among others. He is married to Aarti Grover, and the couple has a son, Mohan.
